Saturn Fast Facts

The Saturn Corporation was an automobile manufacturer and brand, a subsidiary of General Motors that was established in 1985. The company marketed itself as a "different kind of car company,” and was immediately known for its "no haggle" prices and dent-resistant construction. GM originally planned to release the Saturn under one of its other brands when the Saturn concept car was introduced in the mid-1980s, but by the late 1980s they changed their plan and founded Saturn as its own brand. Production of the Saturn SC and SL started in 1990 as early 1991 model year vehicles.

While Saturn cars proved very popular with buyers, sales never met their projected targets, in part because of a recession in 1990. After a sale attempt to Penske fell through, all new production was halted in October 2009, and GM discontinued the Saturn brand in 2010. Get bright HID headlights for your Saturn here.
